Membership of the Yoruba Tennis Club has consisted of a Vice Patron, Resident Members, Non-Resident members, Temporary members and Honorary members. Any person who is above the age 21 and was vouched for to be of good character and was known to be interested in the aims and objects of the Club could become a member.
But, since 1983, "Membership of the Club is open to any person who is above the age of 25, enjoys a good reputation in the community and is capable of meeting his obligations to the Club".
Are members who live within a distance of fifty kilometres of the Club House.
Are those members who either live outside a distance of fifty kilometres of the Club House or who are absent from the country for a period of over six months.
Non-Resident Members are also synonymous with Distance Members.
Are those members on whom the chairman has exercise the power vested in him by Article X (3) of the 1971 constitution.
This type of membership is conferred on distinguished non-members whom the executive committee with the approval of a general meeting has conferred such membership.
